The Mount Roraima trek is considered an intermediate-level hike, meaning that a person with good physical conditioning and experience in long trails can complete it. You don’t need to be an athlete, but it’s important to be prepared for:

  • Hiking between 4 to 8 hours per day on uneven terrain, covering 10 to 18 km per day

  • River crossings, steep ascents and descents

  • Carrying a light personal backpack (between 5 to 10 kg)

  • Variable weather conditions, ranging from intense heat to extreme cold at the summit

If you are not used to long hikes, we recommend starting a training routine with hiking and muscle strengthening a few months before the trek.
